Our First Visit to a Casino

This evening, we decided to go and try our hand at some slot machines-and see what the buzz is all about for those casino's. I have to admit that I was a bit taken back when we first walked in. There were so many lights and so much smoke, I felt like I needed to call tower and get a clearance to come in for a landing amidst the clouds of fog.

Despite the atmosphere and lots of people, we weaseled our way across the floor. I think Chris won a few times at the 1 cent machines-I even won a whole $1!!! woo-hoo! I wouldn't call us pro's, but it was a fun time and we enjoyed getting out on the town.

Before we left, I wanted to try a turn at roulettes. I ran the roulette table at the K-State Salina 2007 poker night a year ago and had a blast, but had never played myself. So, we scoped out the tables. We found one for $10 a play-but I didn't think that my luck was THAT good. So then Chris spotted one for $2.50 a play. I thought that might be a good place for me to start. It was an electronic hub of computer-type machines huddled around a big wheel. We could input our bets on our own screens under a 30 second timer, then the wheel would spin and we would see if we had won anything. I was slow to catch on to exactly what was happening with the timer and how they did the betting-but Chris helped me and we won a whoppin $8! But that pretty much evened us out for the evening.

I enjoyed the roulette table the most, but I think Chris could have cared less either way. Overall, it was a fun way to spend a Friday evening. Watch out Vegas! Oh, wait...just kidding!

I want to know what EXACTLY you said to bribe Chris to go gambling? Did you have to threaten this money-wise man???
